Edward Slopek

Notice biographique

Edward Slopek is a multimedia artist, performer, musician, and writer. Since the mid-seventies his work has been exhibited internationally and is included in several international collections. He has taught in various Universities for over twenty-five years, including the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and the University of Calgary Graduate Program in Communications. He currently teaches in the School of Image Arts at Ryerson University in Toronto and the Ryerson-York Joint Program in Communication and Culture. In addition, he is the Director of the New Media Program in the School of Image Arts. He holds degrees in the Fine Arts and Communication from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts School of Art and Design, NSCAD, the University of Leicester Centre for Mass Communication Research and McGill University.
